At Sherwood Resorts and Hotels, while providing our guests with high-quality and safe services, we recognise the protection and promotion of the occupational health and safety of our employees, workers’ representatives, contractors, and other persons who may be affected by our activities as one of our fundamental responsibilities.

Accordingly, we commit to:

  • Taking into account the purpose and scale of our activities, working conditions, organisational structure, and occupational health and safety risks and opportunities; providing safe and healthy working conditions for our employees and preventing work-related injuries and ill health.

  • Systematically identifying hazards that may arise from our activities, assessing the associated risks, and implementing appropriate controls.

  • Establishing measurable and monitorable occupational health and safety (OHS) objectives to improve our OHS performance, implementing these objectives in alignment with our activities and risks, and providing the necessary resources for their regular review.

  • Complying with applicable legal and other occupational health and safety requirements to which we are subject in relation to our activities; monitoring and evaluating these requirements and continuously reviewing our compliance.

  • Eliminating hazards and, where elimination is not possible, reducing occupational health and safety risks in accordance with the hierarchy of controls.

  • Providing the training, information, competence, personal protective equipment, tools, and working conditions necessary for our employees to perform their duties safely, while promoting safe behaviours and occupational health and safety awareness.

  • Supporting consultation with and participation of our employees and workers’ representatives, particularly by taking employees’ opinions and suggestions into account in the identification of hazards, assessment of risks, establishment of OHS objectives, planning of changes, investigation of incidents, and improvement of OHS performance.

  • Creating a working environment in which our employees can report near misses, hazardous situations, nonconformities, and OHS-related suggestions without fear of adverse consequences.

  • Controlling occupational health and safety risks arising from the activities of our contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other business partners, and ensuring the necessary coordination, information sharing, and communication.

  • Maintaining emergency preparedness and conducting necessary planning, training, and drills for emergencies specific to our activities.

  • Regularly evaluating the conformity, adequacy, and effectiveness of our occupational health and safety management system and continually improving the system.

  • Providing the resources necessary for the implementation of this Occupational Health and Safety Policy.
